When Brittney’s (very thoughtful!) future husband reached out to me weeks before his big plan, I knew this was going to be special. His idea? A surprise proposal during a round of golf at their favorite course, followed by a luncheon where both sides of the family would meet for the first time. So sweet, right? Well... life threw a little curveball! The original golf course canceled the luncheon three days before the big day. But in true hero fashion, he scrambled and found the amazing folks at Philip J. Rotella Golf Course in Thiells, NY. They saved the day, allowing this last-minute surprise to unfold on the 15th hole — perfection!

Now, as someone who knows absolutely nothing about golf, I needed backup. So I brought along my son, who golfs with his brothers every week (thank goodness!). I definitely couldn’t have done it without him. He navigated us through this massive course, helped time everything just right as they played round after round, and led me to the 15th hole. We stalked them like prey (picture me creeping behind bushes, camera ready). And then — the moment — he got down on one knee, and I captured it all. A total nail-biter, but it worked out beautifully, and I couldn’t be happier for this lovely young couple as they start this exciting new chapter together. 💍⛳❤️
